Sweet Child o' Mine was the song used in the movie trailer for Thor Love and Thunder, the big Marvel movie of summer 2022. The superhero parody video thing was already winding down on my channel, as I couldn't get everyone together to make a movie parody. But I wanted to have something out. I had already started working on a cover version of the song for use in a parody video, so I recorded some vocals. The brilliant Juliana Eye helped with the keyboard parts and mixing, and the song was ready to go.
And I was absolutely delighted when the video did very well, better than many of the superhero parody videos I had done recently. And that gave me the boost in confidence to continue sharing my music with the world.
