After a 3-year hiatus, Star Wars Day Toronto returned in 2016 when hype for The Force Awakens was absolutely undeniable. We heard them talking on the radio the previous year about how Toronto was home to the first Star Wars Day event. They thought it was still an annual event so we thought we’d better bring it back!

The event took place at the Yonge Street Hard Rock Cafe, with a huge costume meet up in Dundas Square and march to the venue kicking off proceedings.

With your host Star Wars Day Toronto founder Sean Ward, co-founder Alice Quinn, Master of Ceremonies Ajay Fry, and celebrity costume judges Purelight Cosplay and Aaron Beam from the 501st Canadian Garrison. Thank you to production assistance from Northern Belle Rogue and Kara Mancuso. Huge thanks to Jennifer Ouelette who was absoutely fundamental in getting the word out that Star Wars Day Toronto was back!
