My Cover Version of Sweet Child o’ Mine came about when I was stuck for a video to make when Thor Love & Thunder hit theatres. I couldn’t get the cast together to create a parody video in time so I created a cover version of the movie’s theme song. Then I realized that all of my stress and anxieties about relaunching my music project disappeared if I viewed it as if this is my soft launch first single, and then just keep releasing the songs I’ve been working on all this time.

When I was little I used to make up songs and pretend to be in a music video on my walks to school.  When I got older, countless hours were spent creating mixes and comedy songs at the home of my friend who had a music Studio in his Basement.  And when I was Grown, and had been selling Comic Books on the street for about a year, writing raps about it was a way for me for me to channel my energy & Frustration in the face of Doubters & haters.

I used to go out to see bands every night of the week. I'd stand close to the stage and study the lead singer's style. I would feel myself develop a sense of how the band puts their songs together. When the perfect song started, I would know it's the one. I would wait for the magic moment when the singer would back away from the microphone so the band can go into the guitar solo, and I would leap on stage to snatch the microphone. I would drop my 16 bars over the band's instrumental break and then jump back into the crowd in time for the singer to return at the chorus, and for the band to laugh and confusedly shrug at each other. The band would always come talk to me and give me props for the impromptu collaboration, even if their security people didn't like it.
